Just a Few Things
This shouldn’t take very long.
OK.
I am about to buy padraigfahy.com and I wanna know if I can create a HTML page or similar that has links going to sites but I wanna use this blog as the main priority of padraigfahy.com
Secondly, I have a laptop (Suppose to run WinXP but is running Win7) and I wanna know whether I should try hackint0sh for the laptop or Ubuntu. I have had MAJOR trouble in the past using 9.04 in where the sound would be ok for approx. 10 mins and they it would go pear shaped. (its a software problem not a hardware cause I can mute it using the bar) or if you think there is another Linux distro that I should try, please leave a comment. I know that Thomas Geraghty was (or still is) using Mint or Xubuntu (According to his Blog)
So what do you think??
And also, I am planning to get a proper domain for Games World but “gamesworld.com” and “gamesworldforum.com” has already been taken. So, if you think that I should name it something, please leave a comment.
ANNNNDDD finally, I shall be starting a Info Tech course in MIFET on Sept. 7th. And I am really looking forward to it.

Games World Is Moving
Yes, You have heard correct as from 12:00 BST on Tuesday 18th August 2009. Games World shall be moving its services over to a new forum host called Forumer.
Not all topics of the Forumotion servers will be brought over. Instead. Bring over the 1st post in threads that we wanna keep and the rest just die like a big pile of smelly turd pit thingy…….Oh yeah, the forum.
Anyway, This blog post is the offical announcement. This announcement will not be made until 12:00pm where I shall put the forum into a read-only situation.
But you may all be asking “Why are you moving hosts???”
Good question. Although Forumotion is good, the customisation of the forum is not great. You cant edit any part of the HTML unless you are using phpbb2 or punbb *barfs*.
With Forumer. I chose to use Invision Power Board (IPB) and I can customise EVERYTHING from the HTML pages to the CSS.
All Staff members will still have their jobs (When have you heard THAT in the past year lol)
Although, the new server is not perfect yet, it will take time to get the forum back into shape.
The new forum is located at http://gamesworldforum.x.am although the site is NOT open until 12:00pm on Tuesday!!

Something New
This is something that I threw together in a few mins on Photoshop. I wanna create a informative logo but simple. And yes, i do wanna include http://tr.im/padraigfahy into it. If anybody has any suggestions on how to improve on this, please leave a comment. thanks

After 2 attempts, I have simply went with a logo that I threw together in Photoshop using a couple of simple tools and this is what I got:

Leaving Cert
Today, I went to the school to find out my results for my Leaving Cert. I am very VERY disappointed
- English – C3
- Maths – E
- Geography – C1
- Ag. Science – E
- Biology – D2
- Business – C2
- LCVP – Pass
I got a total of 85 points in which I am not happy and considering trying to do a FETEC course or something so I can replace Maths with.
When I seen others today getting their results, i felt like crap and these results are a wake up call for me and saying “This is what you are good/not good at” If only I could turn back the clock now and repeat my Leaving Cert. But I am not gonna pay €300 for that.
Anyway, Hopefully I’ll be ok by the end of the day. For now. Later!
Windows 7
Windows 7 is a operating system developed by Microsoft to be the successor of Microsoft previous Operating System “Windows Vista” which has only been on the market for approximately 3 years.
On April 30th 2009 the RC (Release Candidate) of Windows 7 was released to MSDN and TechNet subscribers and Connect Program participants and was released to the general public on May 5th 2009.
On July 22nd 2009, Microsoft released the manufactures copy (RTM) and was quickly leaked onto torrent sites.

I have used the RC of Windows 7 and I was absolutely overwhelmed by the upgrade that Microsoft has done.
There has been a couple of visual changes within 7 once you start. The Start orb that appears brfore the logon screen has now been moved to where the “Microsoft Cooperation” loading bar was on Windows Vista.
The taskbar has had a major facelift with a double height taskbar with a new way for icons to be on the taskbar.
Windows Explorer has finally changed. A brand new layout for Windows 7 was definately needed after it was ruined in Windows XP.
Some Windows Programs has been removed such as “Windows Mail”, “Windows Movie Maker” and “Windows Photo Gallery” but these 3 programs can be got from the “Windows Live Essestials Pack” with can be found on the Microsoft website.
The whole operating system in general is waaaay better than Windows Vista and would be worth the upgrade if you are currently running Windows XP or Windows Vista.
If you are considering testing Windows 7 on your computer, I recommend you click the “Windows 7 RC Download Page” Link, before you consider. Make sure you download this RC before the 20th August or you will never be able to download it.

Game Booster Review
Is your PC games lagging or very slow when you run them?
Then you need Game Booster from IOBit. This program, once activated, kills unnecessary processes to allow you to play games without lag. Once to click “Switch to Gaming Mode” you can then decide what processes you want to kill by toggling check boxes. Once you are happy with what programs you want closed, hit the “Close Them” button, wait a minute or so and there you go. A faster PC.
Note to Vista Users: If you are using Windows Aero, you will see a difference with your windows once you activate it. It will downgrade to Vista Basic until you return to “Normal Mode”

Album Review #2 – AC/DC – Black Ice (Limited Edition)
Before I start this review I would like to say the following: I know that I havn’t blogged in a while, this is because of my personal life catching up to me (again). But hopefully, I should be doing blogging a tad more often. It’s not everyday that I can blog 
I bought this Limited Edition set because it was cheap. Our local music shop was closing down and prices on everything went down. This went from €60 down to a lovely €15.

This album is very enjoyable even though I havn’t heard much AC/DC in the past. A few song I like, others you don’t (obviously) and thats what makes this album. There is something for everyone here and not just people who like classic rock.

Games Review #1 – Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (NDS)
Title: Final Fantasy Tactics A2

Final Fantasy tactics A2 is set at a completly different time to Final Fantasy Tactics on Game Boy Advance.
With characters from Final Fantasy XII appearing in the game, It was surely gonna be a great game and it is.
You start out as a young boy starting his summer holidays when his teacher tells him to stay behind to clean the library. He then comes across a book which is blank and then gets sucked into the world of Ivalice
GamePlay: 10/10
Length: Still Playin at 14 hours 10/10
Graphics: 9/10
Soundtrack: 10/10
Controls: 10/10
Overall Score: 99%

My Week #2
Monday – Pretty Meh, I can’t remember much from Monday for some reason so I am going to quickly skip onto Tuesday
Tuesday – Stayed at home played World Of Warcraft for most of the day , Pretty boring really
Wednesday – I stayed home and played WoW and helped out around the house. Pretty boring if you ask me 
Thursday – I was Staying at home again and doing really nothing
(Jeez, My week sucked 
)
Friday – A few friends from Clones came and we hanged around together for most of the day. Pretty cool if you asked me. I liked that day, I havn’t had a day like that in a long time.
Saturday – Some other friends from Clones came and we were around AGAIN, Better day than yesterday??? Hell Yeah.
Sunday – Bored all day. Went to Deans house. Came home, then I went back to his for a while ^^
So overall, it was a mixed week.
